” released a press statement regarding the idol theft case in Tamilnadu. In his statement, the actor cum DMDK leader stated that IG Pon Manikka Vel had been doing his duty well and found out the Raja Raja Chozhan statue, which had been stolen 60 years back and had been kept in Gujarat. A Tamilnadu Minister appreciated him and received Pon Manikka Vel well in person. As per Pon Manikka Vel’s report, some officers who are involved in the corruption had been removed. As there are some big heads involved and to save them, the government had now complained about Pon Manikka Vel and planned to transfer the case to the CBI, says Vijayakanth. To find out the culprits behind this, the case should be handled by Pon Manikka Vel, states Vijayakanth.
