In recent years, Udhayanidhi had been campaigning for the elections along with the DMK leaders. Recently, news rolled out that Udhayanidhi might be the Mayor candidate of DMK and it is also rumored that many of the DMK leaders are dissatisfied with this decision and that might be the reason for a simple celebration of Udhay’s birthday. It is heard that Udhay had asked his people not to celebrate his birthday in grandeur as it might irritate the senior DMK members.

Recently, some posters on Udhayanidhi’s birthday mentioned him as Chennai’s Future Mayor. However, the DMK circle stated that one of the senior DMK members will be the mayor contestant and to create some controversy and confuse the people, somebody might have spread this rumor. However, we have to wait for the official announcement regarding DMK’s Mayor candidate!
