TN Government’s Eight Zones - Restrictions And Relaxations

The government categorized the state into eight zones and here is the list:

Zone 1: Coimbatore, Nilgiri, Erode, Tirupur, Karur, Salem and Namakkal

Zone 2: Dharmapuri, Vellore, Tirupattur, Ranipet and Krishnagiri

Zone 3: Villupuram, Tiruvannamalai, Cuddalore and Kallakurichi

Zone 4: Nagapattinam, Thiruvarur, Thanjavur, Tiruchirappalli, Ariyalur, Perambalur  and Pudukkottai

Zone 5: Dindigul, Madurai, Theni, Virudhunagar, Sivagangai, and Ramanathapuram

Zone 6: Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, Tenkasi

Zone 7: Kanchipuram, Thiruvallur and Chengalpet

Zone 8: Chennai City Police Limits

Travel within the zones needs no e-pass. Restaurants could occupy 50% and on-site dining with 50% is allowed from 8th June. Buses will be operated with 60% of people. To travel within the zones, E-pass is not necessary. But, to travel outside the zone, E-pass is a must. Hair salons and beauty parlors could be operated without AC. Not more than 2 passengers are allowed in Auto-rickshaws.
