The central government announced that the lockdown is extended till 30th June 2020. But, the central government announced that the temples, malls and restaurants could be opened from 8th June 2020 and the state governments could restrict them depending upon the containment zones. Now, the Tamilnadu government has announced that the worship places, malls and hospitality services will not be opened for the public till 30th June 2020. 50% of the public transport services will be operated except in Chennai, Chengalpet, Thiruvallur and Kanchipuram districts.
The public can move freely within the district and e-pass is mandatory for travel outside the district. The government announced 8 zones. Travel from Madurai to Ramanathapuram district needs no e-pass, as they are in the same zone. But, travel to other zones needs e-pass. The night curfew is from 9 pm to 5 am.
