Tirupati Devasthanam Increases The Accommodation Rates! The GST Effect!

As the Narendra Modi government launched the GST, the prices of many products have changed. As the GST is in practice, Tirupathi Devasathanam Board has to increase the rates of the passenger accommodation facilities, Marriage at the temple and the golden dollar. Lodging facilities are charged 12 – 18%. The passengers, who prefer staying in the rooms at the temple, will be charged with the GST on the room rents ranging from Rs. 1000 to Rs. 2000. The marriages, which will be held at the temples will be charged a GST of 12% and the golden dollar available at the temple will be charged an additional 3% tax, informed the Tirupati Devasthanam Board.
