He started the production company Sri Thenandal Films in 1976 and for the past 40 years, the banner has produced quality movies. Besides Tamil films, Thenandal banner has produced Telugu, Kannada, Gujarathi and Marathi films. After Rama Narayanan’s death, his son Ramaswamy has been managing the company. They have produced 99 films, till now. Their 100th film will be a trilingual film in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. "Sundar. C" is getting ready to wear the director’s hat for Thenandal’s Ton.
