Pariyerum Perumal, the film that deals with the contemporary communal clashes, is scripted and directed by Mari Selvaraj. Mari Selvaraj had assisted Thanga Meengal and “Taramani” director Ram Subramaniam. Pariyerum Perumal is produced by director Pa Ranjith under the banner Neelam Productions. The movie has the star cast of “Kathir,” “Anandhi,” Yogi Babu and Marimuthu. A dog also plays an important role in the movie. Although the film has a non-popular star cast, it has been celebrated by the audiences. “M K Stalin,” the leader of DMK, attended the special screening of Pariyerum Perumal. He wished the entire group for giving an excellent movie. Stalin also said that if Kalaignar “Karunanidhi” is alive, he would have definitely appreciated Parian. Stalin also said that this is the finest movie he watched after many years. Along with M K Stalin, his wife Durga Stalin, son Udhayanidhi Stalin and his daughter in law Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi and the former central minister A Raja watched the movie.
