” had incurred a severe loss and this is one of the severe flops in Rajini’s career. But, the makers of the film, LYCA Productions stated that the film had grabbed Rs 200+ crores. The latest information by the same Pan-Indian online portal is that Sun Pictures, who announced the film with Superstar, had decided to shelve their next project. Later, they requested the star to cut his remuneration by half, stated the portal. They said that Rajini’s pay was Rs 118 crores for Darbar and his latest remuneration is Rs 58 crores.
However, the other sources stated that this is just a rumor and Darbar didn’t incur a heavy loss and Sun Pictures had never thought to shelve Superstar’s next. Thalaivar 168 shooting had been going at a brisk pace.
