Pondicherry Theater Strike Continues!

Following the withdrawal announcement from the Theater Owners Association, the Theater Strike came to an end, yesterday. From today, the theaters will run their shows, as usual, announced Abirami Ramanathan. However, the Pondicherry Theaters, continue their strike, as they are not satisfied with the government’s policy on entertainment tax and some other facts. In Pondicherry, the Theater owners have to pay a local body tax of 25% excluding the GST of 28%. Ashok Theater Pondicherry confirmed that they are continuing their strike with the tweet. They posted, “We continue our strike theatres in Pondicherry region will remain closed @new_cine @Nn84Naganatha @itisprashanth @VageesanAnish.”
