Nel Jayaraman, the Natural Agronomist, had been suffering from cancer and had been getting the treatment from a private hospital in Teynampet, Chennai for the past couple of months. Although he had been given the best possible treatment, Jayaraman passed away today at 5:10 am. He had been fighting with cancer for the past two years. Jayaraman had been honored by the state and the central governments for saving the traditional crops. He had been raising his voice against the genetically modified crops. His loss is very big to the agro-industry. It is “Sivakarthikeyan,” who had spent for Jayaraman’s treatment, so far.
