Following the death of 17-year-old Anitha, who scored 1176 marks in her board exams and could not get a medical seat, due to the NEET exam regulated by the government, the students protest burst out. Today, Loyola College students started their protest against NEET. Director “V Gowthaman,” who took part in the Jallikattu and Hydro carbon protests has joined the students protest against NEET. He stated that the central government has not done anything useful to the students and it has been deceiving the Tamilnadu government. At present, 45% of the students are involved in the protest, informed Gowthaman. He also said that the students are ready to protest against NEET, how they were against PETA.
