We have heard that the cops arrest the culprits and get them punished in front of the law. But, this is a different case. In 1991, a person named Prakasam was arrested in suspect of a robbery. While inquiring about the robbery, Prakasam died mysteriously. So, a case was filed in 1991 regarding the death of the investigation captive. Two cops, Subbaiya and Varadaraj, who worked in the Basin Bridge Police Station, were found guilty for the death of the suspect. After 26 years, the Madras High Court pronounced those two policemen as the convicts and sentenced them a life term and a fine of Rs. 1.5 Lakh each.
