Thandhai Periyar Dravida Kazhagam has filed a petition in the court stating that, as Jaya is convicted, the government should not build a memorial for her. The petition also states that the pictures of Jaya in various government offices should be removed and her mortal remains should be removed from Marina cemetery and should be moved to some other place.
