, the actor, director, producer, singer cum politician, slammed the Tamilnadu government for its decision to open the TASMAC Shops during this pandemic period. Already, the virus spread and its effects are enormous and in this critical situation, the government opens the TASMAC shops and paves the way for more infections, stated many people. Kamal Haasan tweeted, “கோயம்பேடை காப்பாற்ற இயலாமல் தொற்று எண்ணிக்கையை அதிகப் படுத்திய அரசு, இப்பொழுது டாஸ்மாக்கை திறக்குமாம். அரசின் ஒவ்வொரு தவறும் உயிர்களை பலி வாங்குவது புரியவில்லையா தலைமைக்கு.”
Already, the Coronavirus positive cases had increased in Chennai, as the Koyambedu market was opened in full and people rushed to buy vegetables. Now, the government had announced that the TASMAC would be opened in the rest of the state, except for Chennai metro city.
