The Tamilnadu government announced that the TASMAC Shops in Tamilnadu will be open from 7th May 2020 and the working hours will be 10 am to 5 pm. Now, the government has announced that the TASMAC shops in Chennai will remain shut and the opening date will be announced later. Due to the hike in the coronavirus positive cases in Chennai, the government might have taken this decision. However, it is not sure how the alcohol drinkers maintain social distancing when the TASMAC Shops open tomorrow in the rest of the state.
For the past couple of days, videos about the alcohol addicts, crossing the borders had been rolling on the internet. When many people thanked the TN government for not opening the TASMAC, the government made them reverse their thanks note by announcing the TASMAC opening date.
