Kamal Haasan, the actor turned politician, has been anxiously waiting for the release of the Lok Sabha election results. He had been campaigning for the state assembly by-polls in Aravakurichi and also had planned to go on for a rally and a meeting in Madurai. But, due to the opposition for his controversial comments against Hindus, the meetings are getting canceled and Kamal has been given police protection.
His Makkal Needhi Maiam office in Alwarpet, Chennai has been given police security and the actor, who has been in Kodaikanal at present has also been provided special protection, as the police received information that some Hindu movements had planned to protest against Kamal. The state assembly by-polls will be held on 19th May 2019 and the results will be announced on 23rd May 2019.
