would be seen playing Muralitharan and it is confirmed now. It is exciting to hear that the legendary spinner finds it honored that Vijay Sethupathi reprises him. He also stated that he would be associated with the film and is aiming for 2020 release.
Sripathy Rangasamy directs the film and DAR Motion Pictures bankrolls the biopic. The biopic is expected to get the title 800 marking the 800 wickets haul of Murali. Vijay Sethupathi stated that he is happy to do the role of Muttiah Muralitharan. He also added that he is glad that Muralitharan will be associated with the project and will guide him. Vijay Sethupathi thanked the makers, who trusted him. It is also heard that Russel Arnold would play himself in the film.
