Is The Sterlite Power Cut, A Drama?

May 22nd, 2018 is really, a black day for Tamilnadu. 11 people are shot dead in Thoothukudi while protesting to ban Sterlite factory. The government blocked the internet services in Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari districts. The Tamilnadu Ministers stated that the Sterlite industry would be closed soon and the first step is the power cut in the factory. When the people started to believe the government slowly, there comes another twist in the story. The Sterlite owner Anil Agarwal, the Chairman of Vedanta Group, stated recently that they have just shut the factory for the annual maintenance. He also announced that they have applied to the Tamilnadu Government to restart the factory. Anil Agarwal offered his condolences to the people, who were shot dead in the protest against his factory. What is happening here? Why did the government announce that they have cut the power supply to a factory that is not operating but is on leave for its annual maintenance? Will they permit the factory to continue its operations? The government and the Sterlite owner know the answers to these questions!
