The elections for the South Indian Artists Association were successfully held yesterday with a some ugly scenes. Competing for all the top 5 positions in the Association, Pandavar Ani led by Vishal and Nassar won all the 5 and created a new vibe in the industry.
Elections were started at the St. Ebbas School in Mylapore, Chennai from 7 am, yesterday and Superstar Rajinikanth is one among those few who came early to cast their Votes.
After casting his vote, the “
Kabali
” star addressed the media. He said, “We all belong to the same family called cinema, irrespective of caste, creed or religion. A competition has arisen in this election, I’m Happy about it. But it doesn't mean that we are divided. I have two requests to the office bearers. My first request is whoever wins should take an immediate step to change the name of the association and it should be renamed as the Tamil Nadu Artists Association instead of the South Indian Artists Association. The other request is the Winners should fulfill their promises, which they made for this election and If they could not make it, they should step down from the post”. Superstar’s words will reflect for sure, we guess!
