It's unexpected hit made the entire industry stun, as the actors in the film were not much known to the audiences. After the hit movie, Venkat Prabhu has got a good name in the industry. Though he has directed some movies after Chennai 28, the craze on the film is still alive. Venkat Prabhu has decided to make the sequel, and the same cast and crew is retained. We heard that Venkat Prabhu is scouting locations for the film in Theni. The film is expected to go on the floors in May.
