During a conversation with the actor in a Malayalam daily, he remembered his decision to take the film, Rajamanikyam together with "Mammootty" few years ago. He said he is hesitant at first to select the role because he feared that it can hinder his image. But Mammootty advised him to accept it and gave him the assurance that it will be successful.
