Mammootty’s Telugu Film Shooting Starts From Monday!

Mega Star “Mammootty” has signed doing a Telugu film directed by “Mahi V Raghav.” It is the biopic of Andhra Pradesh’s late CM, YS Rajashekar Reddy. The film has been titled as “Yatra.” Initially, Akkineni Nagarjuna was also in the suggestion list to the lead role. The first look poster impressed the audiences and it comes with an impressive tagline that states that YSR wanted to mark a footprint in history, but he marked it in the hearts of the people. Vijay Chilla and Sashi Devreddy will bankroll the film under the banner 70 MM Entertainments. YSR had been the CM of Andhra Pradesh for two consecutive terms. He died in 2009 in a helicopter crash. The film has been titled as Yatra, to mark the Padha Yatra of YSR that brought him success in 2004 elections. After 25 years, Mammookka reenters the Telugu film industry with this film. His previous one is Swathi Kiranam directed by Kasinathuni Viswanath. The shooting of Yatra will start from 9th April, Monday.
