The Kannada film had top stars Sudeep and Upendra playing titular roles. And then John, Jani, Janarthan which will hit the screens shortly, is a remake of the Malayalam movie Amar, Akbar, Anthony. And the latest buzz is that the superhit Malayalam flick Oppam of Mohanlal is all set to be remade in Kannada.
Well, now if a regional movie is good audiences get to see it in the original language itself. Then what is the idea behind the remake? Also, critics generally write the flip side that those who have watched the original movie may not find the remake interesting. So original movies seems to be the need of the day.
