The plot happens in the backdrop of Uttara Karnataka. The movie draws inspiration from a real-life instance. The director has said that the movie is a simple love story. The difference is in the way the story is narrated. Also, he scores the music for the movie. The actors in the movie were already planned. The director commented that Vijay Raghavendra was his only option. Since the director preferred a Kannada actress, Nidhi took the place. The crew is waiting for Nidhi to complete her current schedules.

Also, Shivu commented about his career span in the film field. Although it took many years for him to become a director, he had acquired a lot of knowledge in the film industry.
