As they say, Content counts. The same is the case for ‘Article 370’. Not only is the film a certified HIT, but it is well on course to become the first blockbuster of Hindi cinema for 2024.
As of now, Article 370 has earned a total of almost 26.15 crores in net collections. The gross collections amount to 31.25 crore rupees, which is way more than the overall budget of 20 crores. This makes Article 370 a bonafide HIT by all means. It is a significant victory for Bollywood, since despite earning more than 300 crores, ‘Fighter’ is anything but a HIT, and even ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ has not much to be called a bonafide HIT.
This is not only a victory for the makers of this film but also for those who still believe in the power of content-driven films. ‘Article 370’ faced multiple odds, including a clash with films like ‘Crakk’ and ‘All India Rank’, and a concerted campaign against the film and its creators. Yet, it overcame the odds and is on course to earn a lifetime collection of more than 50 crores since there is negligible competition until 8 March, when ‘Shaitaan’ shall hit the screens.
