As we know, Bruce Lee is a Chinese martial art legend, who lost his life at his early age. Though, he left us, the impact created by him is still with us. After his undigested death at a young age of 32 in the year 1973, many actors started to follow his style and even played him in biopics. Now, it is the turn of Kim Bum to play as Bruce Lee in the biopic. The name of the Chinese drama will be “IP Man and Bruce Lee”. There are lots of controversies arising before the start of the film. Many are not satisfied with the cast by Kim to perform as the Chinese- American actor Bruce Lee.
However, director cum producer of the movie, Pan Xiaotian said, "Bruce Lee belongs to all nations. People from all over the world admire and follow his ideals. Why is it necessary to find a Chinese actor to play Bruce Lee? The moment I saw Kim Bum, I felt he would be perfect to play Bruce Lee. I recognized a similarity in his inner qualities."
