, the rapper is set to receive the honor at his hometown. He will be handed over the Key to his hometown Compton in California. The “Swimming Pools” singer will be honored on February 13 at a Special Ceremony. Mayor, Aja Brown states that Kendrick had served to this generation as a catalyst. Messages from his compositions motivate the listeners and make them get a great involvement with the society. The Mayor also lauded Lamar that he is not alone a rapper, but a person who influence his generation. Last year Kendrick was provided with the Generational Icon Award in the California State.
