Marketing and publicity are a big part of movie releases nowadays. Producers and actors spend a lot of time and money in coming up with ways of creating a hype about their upcoming films. With so many promotional activities, the audience starts to have a sort of expectation from the film. Often, it happens that the movie does not live up to its pre-release hype and disappoints the viewers after release. Kareena Kapoor played the role of Mahi Arora, a once-successful Bollywood heroine whose career is going downhill. Though the film seemed quite interesting before release, it did not do to well commercially. Kareena’s performance in the film was brilliant, and so was Bhandarkar’s direction. But overall, the movie did not receive the acclaim that it was expecting.
