The Indo – Australian actress Pallavi Sharda was born on 5th March 1988 in Western Australia to Indian parents. She spent her childhood in Australia completing her schooling from Lowther Hall School and her degree from University of Melbourne. Her parents are IIT alumnus and she followed their footsteps in academic excellence to obtain her degree with honours at the age of 16. 

Pallavi shifted to Mumbai in the year 2010 after completing her college education to build her career in modelling and acting. She is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer and found her break through a cameo role in the Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘ My Name Is Khan’ which was released in 2010. She is also the winner of Miss India Australia title for the year 2010. She did the role of a dance teacher from a village in her next movie ‘Dus Tola’ which was a remake of a 1988 Malayalam movie. Even though the movie was a box office disaster, her performance received good response from critics.

She succeeded in bagging significant roles in a few more Bollywood movies including the 2012 hit ‘ Heroine’. She has also acted in an Indo –American movie ‘Walkaway’ and also in an Australian film ‘Save your legs’. Her latest release was the Bollywood film ‘ Hawaizaada’ which received a mediocre response in the box office.

Pakhi Tyrewala is an Indian model, writer, and an actress, who made her Bollywood debut in the year 2002 with the movie ‘Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai?’ Her real name is Punarnava Mehta and her character’s name in her first movie was also the same. Pakhi was born on 6th June 1984 in Delhi and did her schooling from Sardar Patel school in Delhi. She is dyslexic and hence she didn’t attend college after her school education. She began her acting career as a child artist and has acted in many theatre programs, serials, and movies as a kid. Her first serial was ‘Juhi’ which was aired in the year 1995 and she went on to act in another serial ‘Dastoor’ in 1996. Her Bollywood debut was through the movie ‘Dance of The Wind’ in the year in 1997 and she portrayed a Russian girl named stella in that movie. She later shifted her base to Mumbai to find a better platform for her career and did advertisements for many companies including Sunsilk, Hero Honda, Ponds etc. She took a brief break from acting to go for studies and she came back to the film industry as an adult through the movie ‘Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai’ in 2002. She left the acting career early and got married to director Abbas Tyrewala after falling in love with him on the sets of ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’. He brought her back to Bollywood through the 2010 John Abraham starrer ‘Jhootha Hi Sahi’, but the film bombed in the box office and she faced criticism for her acting following which she left acting permanently. She is currently a teacher at the ‘Art of Living’ foundation.
