The Indo – Australian actress Pallavi Sharda was born on 5th March 1988 in Western Australia to Indian parents. She spent her childhood in Australia completing her schooling from Lowther Hall School and her degree from University of Melbourne. Her parents are IIT alumnus and she followed their footsteps in academic excellence to obtain her degree with honours at the age of 16.Â
Pallavi shifted to Mumbai in the year 2010 after completing her college education to build her career in modelling and acting. She is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer and found her break through a cameo role in the
Shah Rukh Khan
starrer ‘
My Name Is Khan
’ which was released in 2010. She is also the winner of Miss India Australia title for the year 2010. She did the role of a dance teacher from a village in her next movie ‘Dus Tola’ which was a remake of a 1988 Malayalam movie. Even though the movie was a box office disaster, her performance received good response from critics.Â
She succeeded in bagging significant roles in a few more Bollywood movies including the 2012 hit ‘
Heroine
’. She has also acted in an Indo –American movie ‘Walkaway’ and also in an Australian film ‘Save your legs’. Her latest release was the Bollywood film ‘
Hawaizaada
’ which received a mediocre response in the box office.
