Wait, they can’t just kill the main lead... While watching a film, we root for the main leads, and when the maid lead ends up dying, we literally lose our minds. There are movies where the main lead dies but here are the top 10 films that hurt us the most when the protagonist died.

1. Armageddon (1998)

The Earth and a team of oil drillers were going to be attacked by an asteroid. Bruce Wills, who plays ‘Harry Stamper’, is the main lead and he is told to blow up the asteroid with a nuclear bomb. At the end of the film, Harry ends up saving the world but gets killed while trying to save them.

2. American Beauty (1999)

Lester Burnham is a suburban man. The story revolves around him where he hates his job; his wife cheats on him, and his daughter hates him. He forgets all his stress and starts living life freely, as soon as the viewers start to connect with him, Lester Burnham dies leaving it to an abrupt ending.

3. Psycho (1960)

Psycho is a film about a murder, just half way through the movie, Leigh’s Marion Crane turns to be the victim of the murder of cinema’s history. She was at the wrong place.

4. Scarface (1983)

After he was surrounded around his mansion, he goes through a lot of bullets, but he tries to fight back. This is one of the most recognized scenes in the history of cinema.

When Rose and Jack fall in love, we witness an unlikely love story on Titanic. However, the ship hits an iceberg, and it leads to chaos. After getting off the ship that began to sink they were in the cold freezing ocean. Rose was lying on the wooden plank while Jack was still in the freezing ocean. When he couldn’t hold any longer, he slips away into the ocean.

6. Gran Torino (2008)

After the Korean War, Walt gets alienated from his family and begins to stay somewhere else while he was still angry with the world. His neighbour was told to rob something from Walt’s house if he wanted to be a part of the gang. Walt grew close to the neighbour’s family after catching hold of the son. Later, he risks his life for the family against the gang and dies to put the gang in prison for his murder.

7. Thelma And Louise (1991)

Thelma and Louise hit the road to have some fun and get away from their lives. They enjoy themselves with an adventurous journey, and the movie ends in a dramatic fashion where they are chased by the police.

8. Saving Private Ryan (1998)

When everyone he likes dies because of the English, William is out to free Scotland. He fights heroically but is captured and tortured and is given a chance to beg for mercy, but he chooses to die and confirms what he believes in while holding on to his last breath.

10. Gladiator (2000)

Maximus Decimus Meridus is a Roman General who is betrayed, and his family is killed. He becomes a worker to the world of the Colosseum. He has nothing to lose, and so he fights for the people and becomes a symbol of liberty. He brings freedom to his people which cost him his life as he dies with a knife wound from the Commodus.
