Anil had to write some dialogues that are meant to be within the scene of sensual awareness which can heighten the erotic edge of the film immeasurably. Dialogue should have prompted for enough excitement in the scenes.
The film talks about two teenage girls embark on a reckless and forbidden romance, who knows that their affair will create severe problems to them when comes out. It was the first time a lesbian film was made in the Telugu language.
Censor board not allowed the film to release in theatres. The film saw another title too ‘-A-fire’ and it had Prasanthi, Geethanjali, Dhanraj in lead roles. Being a lesbian love story, the film ‘Affair’ or ‘A-fire’ had some deep love, kiss scenes between two girls on screen.
As such topic is considered to be a taboo in our society, there was a heated argument with censor board and the maker of the movie. The producer of the movie Tummalapalli Rama Satyanarayana even threatened to release the movie on YouTube channel if censor board did not pass the film for screening in the theatres.
