Jaganmohan Reddy

Jaganmohan Reddy is a well-known name in politics in south India. His full name is Yeduguri Sandinti Jaganmohan Reddy. He was born on 21st December 1972 in the Jammalamadugu village in Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh. He has his schooling from Hyderabad public school, he is a commerce graduate and master in business. Reddy started his political carrier in 2004 campaigning for the Indian national congress election in his district. In 2009 he was elected as Member of Parliament from his constituency. After his father’s death, he started actively taking part in this field.

The legislator members wanted Reddy to be the minister but, it was rejected by the members. In 2010 he resigned from the congress party and in, 2011 formed his party naming it Jagganapeta of East Godavari district. Later this party won many seats with the full majority. He was also the president of the YSR Congress from his constituency. There is also a dark side in his career graph. He was arrested and was in prison for many years. In the 2019 national and state election, he came back sweeping 151 votes of the 175 assemblies and 22 of the 25 seats in Andhra. On 30th May 2019, he took the oath as a chief minister. In 2014 he was against the breakup of Andhra into Telangana. He was against the bill, which was passed from the Lok Sabha. He wanted a united state and not a divided one.

After the division, he took over Andhra his land. Not only in politics but also in other fields, he has his contribution. He is the founder of “Sakshi” Telugu daily newspaper and also television channel Sakshi TV. He is also the promoter of Bharathi cement. As a member of parliament, he has his duty; he also contributed to the victims of the Vishakhapatnam gas tragedy a compensation of a certain amount to the affected victims. Amidst ups downs in his life, he stood firm taking care of himself and his country people -, which proved him to be a leader of the country.
