Manya is an actress from South India who did roles in almost all South Indian languages. Although she started off her career in Telugu cinema, she went on to do roles in Kannada, Malayalam, and Tamil film industries. She was born on October 7th, 1982 to Prahladan and Padmini Naidu. Her family was settled in England where her father worked as a doctor. Manya and her younger sister, Meera were both brought up in the British state till Manya was nine years old. She later moved to South India where she completed her higher secondary education and graduation.

Manya was academically dazzling and pursued statistics and mathematics and graduated with a dual degree. Later on, she majored in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Columbia. At a very young age, Manya had decided to get into modeling. She was 14 years old when she had started doing modeling. She made her entry into cinema in the year 1999 in a Telugu film titled ‘Devaa’. In 2000, she won the Ballem Venumadhav Award for Best Debut Actress for her role in ‘Devaa’.

She was quickly recognized by many filmmakers in South India and had a lot on her plate. She made many appearances in different South Indian films. She had appeared in over forty films a few years after her debut.
