Deepak Reddy

Deepak Reddy, born on 29th January 1991, in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, is an Indian Film Director, Producer, and Writer. After finishing his schooling and then graduating with a degree in Engineering, Deepak's passion for filmmaking made him enroll in a Film School in Hyderabad. However, he didn't want to be limited to the filmmaking theories and decided to use his creativity in directing the movies. He went to Texas to get a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Houston, but his love for movies brought him back to India and he started his industry journey.

Deepak has been making short films since his graduation years. One of his short films, Hide and Seek was released in 2016, and it was an instant hit. He earned accolades and recognition within the industry, he was praised by known directors and producers at that time. Seeing his potential, Deepak was invited by Shekhar Kammula's team to the post of Assistant Director for the movie Fidaa. Post direction, Deepak made filmmaking his solo career.

Manasanamaha was released on 28th March 2020. The short film was written and directed by Deepak Reddy and was produced by Shilpa Gajjala. It features the story of a young man who recalls his past three relationships while residing in nature. The short film is dubbed into Kannada and Tamil languages and was even shortlisted to qualify for the Oscars. The film won over 500 awards, setting the Guinness Book of World Records for most awards won by any short film.
