Ashwanth Thilak is a popular Indian movie actor, who was born on November 21st, 1987. He has featured in Tamil language movies and TV serials. Thilak is the son of a dance choreographer Seenu. Ashwanth studied for starting a career in hotel management before getting into the movie industry. Ashwanth started his career as an actor by featuring in TK Bose's romantic drama movie Kodaikanal (2008) along with Poorna. The movie had a slow opening at the box office but got Ashwanth mixed reviews for his performance. While a reviewer from KollywoodToday stated he gave a mature performance and that he enthuses straight from his shoulders without any flaw, while a critic from ThaIndia noted Ashwanth worsens the doings with a listless performance. Ashwanth then appeared on Mani Ratnam's epic adventure movie Raavanan, playing Velan, the fiancé of the character played by Priyamani. Appearing in an ensemble cast with Prithviraj, Vikram, and Aishwarya Rai. Raavana got critical and commercial appreciation upon release.
