After the successful run of Mega serials like Chithi, Annamalai, Selvi and Arasi from Raadhika Sarathkumar’s production house Radaan Mediaworks, they came out with Suryavamsam. The story starts with a young village girl who gets cheated by a city youth in the name of love. Disappointed and frustrated, she decides to leave her village and come to the city in search of the man who deserted her. After she comes to the city, she faces a lot of struggle and obstacles come in her way since she is from a village. Withstanding all these obstacles, how she finds the man who deserted her forms the rest of the story. The village portions of the story were shot in and around the town of Pollachi.
