Krishnan Subramaniyan pursued M.Sc. in Music Engineering and Production at the University of South Wales and an M.A. in Soundtrack Production and Sound Design at Bournemouth University after completing his B.E. at Madras University. Krishnan joined AR Rahman at AM studios in Chennai in 2007 after working with the BBC and collaborating on more than 50 projects there. He served as the sound designer for Rahman’s debut feature film, Le Musk, and was a member of the mixing team that created the first Auro 11.1 mix in India. Krishnan has taught Sound Design and was a member of the SACAC Sound Engineering College faculty. Krishnan is a sound designer and co-founder of ViHa sound productions. He works on sound design for feature films, web series, animations, and a VR series. Krishnan is an experienced, creative individual with sound production experience. Krishnan has completed over 15 challenging projects.
He can produce high-quality results on time and within budget. He is highly adaptable and flexible in challenging production environments, with a strong desire to quickly learn new platforms. With hands-on experience in various genres, he now wishes to advance his knowledge of sound design. Some of Krishnan’s works for which he was credited are The Harshlight of day, Out of Order, Seven Heads, and Pushing Boundaries. Krishnan has expertise in audio visualization. He is experienced in sound recording, editing, and mixing.
