H. Sridhar was a renowned sound engineer, whose primary job is to enhance an audio by editing or adjusting it using modern sound technology. He was born in Kerala, India. He worked as a Chief Audio Engineer in Media Artists Chennai.
He was a graduate in mathematics and was interested in electronics. Since he had learned the basics of music, he decided to take up the career of sound engineer by keeping his interests in mind. He started his career in 1958 but achieved recognition with his movie Rangeela in the year 1955.

He has also worked with international singers like George Harrison, a member of the famous Beatles group, John Neptune Kaizan, John McLaughlin,

, and L.Shankar. Oscar-winning music director A. R. Rahman hired him for all his projects.
For national-award winning film Kalpani, he also worked with legendary music director Ilaiyaraaja and Minasaara Kanavu. Apart from being a sound engineer, he has donned the hat of mixing engineer, sound recordist, background music recordist, and sound re-recordist.
He has won several awards like the prestigious Grammy Award for Best Compilation Soundtrack Album for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media, and has been the four-time nomination of the National Awards in the Best Audiography category for Mahanadi, Dil Se.., Lagaan, and Kannathil Muthamittal respectively.
Tamil Nadu's government has also conferred upon him the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for his work as an Audiographer in the movie Karuppu Roja. He passed away on December 1, 2008, in the morning, due to age-related health issues.
