Thanga Tamil Selvan is a politician of Indian origins belonging to the Tamil Nadu constituency. He was born in Narayanathevanpatti, Theni district in Tamil Nadu. He went to the University of Madras to complete his post-graduation degree and earned a Master’s degree in Arts. He is a past Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha (Upper House) from the state of Tamil Nadu. He contested the Legislative Assembly Elections from Tamil Nadu for the terms 2001-2002, 2011-2016, and 2016-2018 and won. All the elections were contested representing the Andipatti constituency from All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (ADMK). In 2019 he left All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (ADMK) to join Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK). He was also a part of Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam from 2018-2019. He is married and has two kids.
