M Thambidurai is an Indian politician, popular amongst the people of the nation as the leader of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam in Lok Sabha and the former Deputy Speaker of the Lok Sabha. Apart from this, Thambidurai has also served as the Minister of State of Surface Transport and Cabinet Minister of Law, Justice and Company Affairs.
Born on 15th March 1947 in Basavannakovil, Krishnagiri, Madras, British India, Thambidurai completed his graduation from Maras Christian College. The first year of his college life marked the beginning of his political career when he participated in the anti-Hindi agitation in 1965 and courted arrest. Although Thambidurai contested 2014 Lok Sabha elections and was elected as a member of the parliament, he lost in 2019 to Jothimani.
