Mahalakshmi is an advocate and a Tamil news reader. She is the face of the channel Sun TV. Since the late 1990s, she has been involved with visual media like reading the news, anchoring, and more. She gives credit for her success to Ms. Khushboo, one of the National Spokespersons at the INC, who was her role model, and also to her dear friend, Priyadarshini. After her entry into visual media, she quickly got recognized for her skill by many producers who offered her various programmes.
A few of her initial works include Kalluri Gallatta, Neengal Ketta Paada, Odi Vizhaiyadu Pappa, Pudhu Padal, Vandhathum Varuvathum, etc. Soon, she got famous and was known as the Khushboo of the small screen. It was not only for her skill, but also for her trendy fashion sense on the screen, including the level of dedication and commitment for work. Being a voracious reader, she was very interested in learning and educating herself while pursuing law, because of which she had denied many offers from the silver screen.
She has many qualifications, a few among which are B.Com and M. L. degrees. Mahalakshmi is a post graduate too. She works for a wide range of channels like Sun TV, Raj TV, Jaya TV, Nila TV, etc. as an anchor and a news reader.
