Upasana Roy Chowdhury (RC) is an Indian model, currently working in south Indian film industries. She is also a contestant in the reality show Villa to Village. She made her debut in the acting field with the movie "
Colours in Bangalore" in the year 2013. After the success of the movie, she participated in Miss India Asia in November 2015 and even won the crown. Born in Vadodara, Gujarat, she was the only child to Bengali parents.
She had to move to different cities because of her father's job, due to which she got adapted to a different lifestyle and even learned different languages. She is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer. After schooling, she did engineering in the field of information technology.
In her college days, she trained herself in western dance and performed in many dance shows. During this time she acted in a documentary which made her interested in the acting field. It was during this time that she made her debut with "Colours in Bangalore". She even got a job offer from IBM India private limited, during campus recruitment but she refused and decided to pursue her career in acting, after the success of her first movie. She has even been a part of ad agencies and had done modeling for brands like "The Chennai Silks".
She was featured on the cover page of a Tamil magazine "Aval Vikatan". She was the model for KTM bikes in Tamilnadu and took part in over 20 KTM shows. She made her debut in the Tamil industry with the movie "
Enbathettu" or 88, directed by Madhan. She has also been in the movie "Bramma.com". She was also seen in some Telugu films. She has even done short films like "Patha Vaida parata" and "Suzhlyam". She has moved to Chennai, to build her career in Tamil industry.
