Mahima Nambiar was born as Gopika in Kasargod, Kerala. She is mainly seen performing in Tamil films. She debuted with a Malayalam movie Kaaryastaan. Kaaryastan was also the 100th movie of film actor Dileep because of which it got a lot of recognition. Although, she had a bit of an uncredited role in this movie.
She had always dreamt of being a film actress and so joined modeling in class 9th itself, which bagged her first movie. She was also offered a Tamil movie, Sindhu Samaveli but couldn't accept due to some personal issues. Her Tamil debut came through the movie Saattai; this is known to be the actual debut for Mahima. In Saattai, she played the lead role, Arivazhagi, a teacher.
Saattai was a remake of Maanikya Kallu, a Malayalam movie. She was only 12 when Saattai released, the movie was a blockbuster hit and got good box office collections. After her debut, she took a short break and completed her studies. Her second movie was Enammo Nadakkudhu in 2014, paired alongside Vijay Vasanth. After her hit debut, she signed four movies back to back. Her already released two films had won people's heart. Her upcoming projects are Mosakutty and Puravi 150cc directed by Jeevan and Venkat respectively.
