Ambika is an Indian movie actress who was born in the year 1962 to parents, Sarasamma and Kunjan Nair at Kallara village which is located in Thiruvananthapuram district, Kerala, India. Ambika's works are predominantly in Kannada, Malayalam, and Tamil. She has also done a few Telugu and English films.
The actress Ambika kicked off her career as a child artist, she, later on, moved on to play heroine roles and has starred in over 200 South Indian films. In the year 1988, Ambika got married to Shinu John. After getting married, she stopped acting moved to the United States. Unfortunately in 1997 her marriage ended in a divorce.
After her divorce, Ambika moved back to India and continued with her career. Ambika has won several awards throughout her career, some of which include: 1984 Kalaimaamani Award- Vaazhkai (film), Mirchi Music Awards - Female Icon Award (Malayalam), and Cinema Express.
