is prominently known for his work in the Kollywood film industry. He was born on 29 March 1954 in New Delhi. He is native from Thalakavur. Sharath graduated in B.Sc. Mathematics from The New College, Chennai. He won several awards in his film career including Chevalier Sivaji Ganesan Award (2000, 2001), MGR award, Best actor awards, Best villain Awards, Vijay Awards for Best Supporting Actor, Filmfare award for Best Actor, and Asianet Film Award for Honour special jury. Sharath Kumar started his career with Telugu film Samajamlo Shtree (1986), where he played the role of villain.
