Shakir Babu, aka, Shakir is a new face in the film industry. This young actor works predominantly in the Tamil film industry, and hopes to see himself in an established position in the future. Shakir was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, as the son of Mano Babu and Jameela. His father is a renowned playback singer, actor, voice-over artist, dubbing artist, producer, comedian, and music composer in the Tamil film industry. Shakir possesses great singing skills like his father; he has a profound interest in acting. This made him choose acting over music. He began his career seeking blessings from the iconic Tamil superstars, Rajni Kanth and Kamal Hassan. His debut movie was the 2012 film, “Naanga”, directed by Selva. He then appeared in the 2016 movie, “Thedinen”, directed by Asai Soundar.
