Mullai Nishanthan wrote the song "Shades of Love" from the movie Vaaluran. The particular piece was directed by R. Naveen Johnson and produced by LV Ganesan. He is very close and one of the best friends of music director Muthukumarasamy LV. He is one of the most renowned lyricists who can make you fall in love with the music with his words and the songs. He writes songs and poetry, too, converting the poetries into pieces. Mullai Nishanthan began his professional career as a lyricist in 2004. He first wrote the theme song for the Kollywood movie Vingyani. He did the second Kollywood film, Valladesam, Directed by Nantha Thurai and Music is by Muthukumarasamy LV. Besides, he also composed the song Kalliya Siripu.
