Vishal opted out of law school to pursue his passion for movies, specifically popular Indian cinema. He is a cinema reviewer who has formerly worked for The Hindu, Deccan Chronicle, and Reuters News. He majored in journalism; was working at The Hindu, where he wrote about movies. Vishal was born on September 7th, and he presently resides in Chennai, India; he’s married to Parvati.
He finished his education at Chinmaya International Residental School, then at Asian College of Journalism, and finally at Symbiosis International University. He is presently a film critic for Film Companion, a forum for film fans by film fans. He's been a movie buff since boyhood, and he and a friend even created a short film for fun called Confession of the Priest. He mostly reviews South Indian films, including Malik, Jagame Thandhiram, Irul, Kala, Jallikattu, Unda, Sathru, Kodathi Samaksham Balan Vakeel, Dev, Simba, Mikhael, Maari2, Odiyan, Seethakathi, and many more.
