P Madhavan is a Tamil director. He was born on the 1st of January, 1928. P Madhavan also produced many movies in the 1960s and 1970s. On the whole, in his lifetime, he directed 49 films and produced about 39 films. His banner ‘Arun Prasad Movies’ released all his films. Madhavan was born as Palakrishnan Madhavan in Kerala. He was active from 1963 till he died in 1992. He died at the age of 75 in Chennai.
He began as an Assistant director to T.R. Ragunath. He also worked under C.V. Sridhar. Then he became a full-fledged director. P. This film was a blockbuster and earned more numbers. Many of his films are remade in other languages. For example, Kanne Paapa is recreated into Aansoon Ka Muskan. P Madhavan was behind the remake too. He also worked as the chairman of National Film awards. He was the first Chairman and Managing Director of MGR Film City and State Film Development Corporation. P Madhavan grabbed many National and State Awards for his films.
In 1970, he received his first National award for his feature film in Tamil- Raman Ethaani Raamanadi? Again in two years, he received another National Award for his Tamil film ‘ Pattikada Pattanama Pattikada Pattanama is a Tamil serial broadcast on >> Read More... ?’ In the year 1970, he received a State Film Award for Best Director for his film- Nilave Nee Satchi. His National award-winning film ‘Raman Ethanai Raamanadi?’ underwent a remake in Hindi in 1985. The title for the remake was Ram Tere Kitne Nam. Enga Thar Raja also remade into Dil Ka Raja. P Madhavan directed the Hindi remake too.
