She kept looking at the pictures of relishing dishes and wanted to try them out. She began experimenting with food when she was barely 13 years old. She started with a simple south Indian recipe Rava Upma (made from roasted semolina) in thick porridge. She then tried something challenging and made Biryani when she was 16.
She has 8 years of experience in this domain, especially South Indian cuisine. She loves making Indo-Chinese fusions, snack items, village cooking. She is a specialist in fusion cooking and kids-oriented recipes. She then leaped forward as a Media chef in channels like sun tv, Puthuyugam, Jaya TV, Sathyam TV, and also she is a great YouTuber. Chef Daamu and Malika Badrinath were her inspiration. She aspires to publish her cookbook and open a restaurant of her own. She began her career by opening a cafeteria in her home and served dishes like rolls and sandwiches. The cafeteria was created based on her creative mind. Her cafeteria was a huge success, following which she opened two more cafeterias in the city. She currently works as a chef at a restaurant at Anna Nagar. She has numerous innovative ideas. She inspires to change the mindset of people who consider cooking a boring job. She does this with the help of innovating dishes that are easy to make using basic ingredients available at home rather than difficult ones. Her main target is to innovate unique dishes for kids. She has come up with an interesting idea called “Oru Uru Oru Unavu.” The major goal of this concept is to bring back the Madras’ Authentic food that has disappeared long ago. Dishes like Molakai bajji, masala vadais will be made at the show but surely with a Suja Kannan twist.
